چکیده
Metal foams have gained attention due to their heat transfer augmenting capabilities. In the literature, correlations describing relations among morphological characteristics successfully been established and well discussed. However, collective expressions that categorize stacked wire mesh based on morphology thermo-hydraulic required for numerical modeling are less explored in literature. present study, cross of wire-mesh were arrived at mesh-size, diameter stacking type, which essential medium determining key input parameters modeling. Furthermore, correlation specific surface area, a vital parameter plays major role interstitial transfer, is provided. With correlations, properties samples orderly varied mesh-size porosity obtained various scenarios, corresponding appearing governing equations evaluated. A vertical channel housing categorized porous media numerically modeled analyze thermal flow such medium. The proposed can be used confidence evaluate order model types variety applications.

A Numerical Modeling for Natural Convection Heat Transfer in Porous Media With Generated Internal Heat Sources
In this paper a numerical method is used to study the unsteady state natural convection heat transfer within a confined porous media with uniform internal heat generation. The governing equations based on the Darcy model and Bossiness approximations are solved, using the finite difference Alternating Direction Implicit (ADI) method. The developed program was used to simulate natural convection ...
متن کاملYield Characteristics of a Twill Dutch Woven Wire Mesh Via Experiments and Numerical Modeling
Woven structures are steadily emerging as excellent reinforcing components in composite materials. Metallic woven meshes, unlike most woven fabrics, show high potential for strengthening via classical methods such as heat treatment. Development of strengthening processes for metallic woven materials, however, must account not only for behavior of the constituent wires, but also for the interact...

Simple-to-fabricate woven mesh structures, consisting of bonded laminates of two-dimensional plain-weave conductive screens, or three-dimensional orthogonal weaves are described. Geometric equations show that these porous matrices can be fabricated to have a wide range of porosity and a highly anisotropic thermal conductivity vector. A mathematical model of the thermal performance of such a mes...
